Good Threads

I went out to a few thrift stores yesterday with my brother & sister
Check out what I found:
Beautiful yarn in soft creamy colors
Most of this is Chincihilla yarn
(never heard of it but couldn't resist it
as it was calling my name)
I don't really sew, and I don't really knit
or crochet but I surely will be able to embellish
many sweet cards or picture frames or any number
of other things that I make
or maybe just look at for inspiration
They had all this beautiful yarn bundled up in a larger
plastic bag for only about $10 !

I said to myself  "this is one insane deal"
It is soo soft
This yarn is sitting in a basket that I found
at another thrift store for about $2
I painted it white & then lined it w/very soft chennile
Things usually need to "speak" to me when I go shopping
before I will even consider purchasing them
Believe me these things did
Keep on scrolling down because
I couldn't just stop at one bag of this yarn
I had to get 2 bags!
The second bag is filled with a host of colors & textures
Some were Cancun (whatever that is)
another was frou.frou, and a few
are plassard (cute names)
Individually they still had price tags on them of
$7-8 each
just could not turn a blind eye
this is possibly one of my all time fav finds
Scary but there are more bags of this
at that thrift shop
If it was closer I could find myself there in a zip

What is one of your fav finds?

  2. You might have to teach yourself to knit! My favorite finds change from week to week. My favorites this week are two brightly colored wool sweaters. I'm going to shrink the mess out of them to felt them and then I'll make pins or purses out of them. I have to see what it looks like once I make it into infant size!
