My computer and browsing through some of the wonderful
magazines on the market today are probably where
I get much inspiration from but
I get a lot of my creative ideas while
talking walks around the neighborhood
Sometimes I take my sweet Kota boy dog with me
but sometimes when it's too hot
outdoors he just looks at
me and says:
"Sorry mom but I think I'll stay
here in the a/c"
I am able to really clear my mind
on these walks and soak in nature
(I love to listen to the birds chip, see the
squirrels darting around and just
take in the fresh air)
I almost always have my camera
with me, along with my cell phone of course
and like to take pictures for my blog
I especially like to take something ordinary
like the shadows of a fence
shown on another fence above and
try to capture an interesting perspective
by shooting the picture at an unusual angle
I really liked the colors and shadows on this rusted
utility box thingey that I found
on one of my walks
and then there is the sky..
the sunsets..
the flowers...
the bunnies
sweet doves
silly squirrels
tweeters
and even lil peepers
I spend this
time in prayer to God
and I thank Him for
my many blessings
My creative energy
is a gift from God and I
am able to really tap into
that while spending time
walking outdoors

Walking out of doors is a blessing. There is something special about God's creation--a reflection of what he is like and it is nice to be out in it. I pity your dog in the hot weather. It looks like he has a good coat on him.
ReplyDeletemy linkup is at both my nannykim and devotional blogs
Gorgeous pictures. I think I'd walk more if I had a sweet Kota dog to walk with me! Thanks for sharing your inspirational photos.
ReplyDeleteI love to walk and take pictures too! I get so inspired by that! I'm glad I stopped by. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love all your photos, and thank you stopping by my blog the other day, hope you visit often and are blessed with what you see.
ReplyDeleteI too like the old photos I have so many from my grand parents and parents, I have some news paper that are dated in the 50's WOW what a jolt to see the prices now and then, good stuff.

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to take my camera on walks around my neighborhood! I love that rusty utility box and all the wildlife. I've been working on taking better photos for a few years. My little point and shoot gets the job done, but someday I would like to upgrade to a wide lense.
Have a great day and give your Kota beauty a scratch behind the ears for me.
Hugs, Cathy
Hi Julie,
