Amazing what blogging will inspire you to do. I ran across Vintage Black Friday party on the Gypsy Fish Blogspot while blogging and just knew I had to muster up something. After pondering it a little I recalled this really neat black beaded bag that is truly a vintage pretty. So I raided the closet in my junk room/someday to be my studio - looking for it. I wasn't sure where I had it stored so was very pleased when I found it. So here it is in all it's glory...I got this many years ago from my grandmother. I can picture her clutching it when she was being courted "back in the day". It is quite old and very beautiful. Lots of handwork. You can see by the picture below that this bag has seen it's day! But what a day that must have been! If only it could talk.
Lucky you to have such an heirloom from your Grandmother ... it's gorgeous! You're right, if purses could talk ... the stories they could tell!
